England - North York Moors to Scarborough

Over the centuries St Marys Church has been renovated, extended and altered so much that it is the most unusual church we have seen so far. It is more a historical museum than a parish church. In the centre of this photo you see the large charcoal stove for heating, still in use apparently, with its flue rising to the ceiling.
